MediShare

Medishare is a major intitiative of RAWCS as a Medical Surplus Recovery Organisation Sharing Sustainable Healthcare Solutions with Disadvantaged Communities

MediShare works with a range of partners, government & not-for-profit organisations to add value to the infrastructure of health care in disadvantaged communities who face difficulties obtaining the affordable goods they need, through the provision and shipping of recovered usable medical consumables and equipment.

Working within the guidelines of the World Health Organisation (WHO), Medishare focuses on enhancing the infrastructure of health systems in disadvantaged communities. In partnership with recipient organisations and communities, MediShare works to identify their specific needs making a positive impact on the delivery of health care for their communities.

Recognising the changing face of medical donations and building on the past successes of Rotary Australia’s Repurposing Equipment (RARE), MediShare was established in 2020 as a national activity, managed by a group of committed Rotarians and volunteers.
